Choose between our Classic and Extra High Back options. The chairs are identical apart from the back rest, which is 77 cm on the Classic, and 87 cm on the High Back version. (The Classic size is perfect for most people.)

We use Douglas Fir for this product. It is a very dense wood, and much more durable than the cheaper pine or redwood commonly available. Very weather-resistant, it is often used for decking or siding.  
 
When new, the wood is pale honey/golden coloured, but will weather to a rustic silvery-grey over time. This is the wood's natural protection from the elements. While there is no need to treat the wood many customers choose to oil the armrests (or the whole chair) to help prevent splitting in dry weather.  For more details on this, please call 07546 256411 or read our FAQs.
 
All our products come fully assembled and ready for use. They are handcrafted in our workshop in East Sussex using stainless steel screws.
